“In Jackson Heights,” Most Diverse Neighborhood, Opens in NYC

Queens, N.Y.  Our friend NYC Councilmember Danny Dromm has invited the community to see a screening of In Jackson Heights, the new movie by famed documentarian Frederick Wiseman.

This film provides an insider’s view into daily life in what is arguably the most diverse neighborhood in the world.  Danny says, “I am thrilled with its authenticity and how it captures the neighborhood I am so very proud to represent in the City Council.”

IN JACKSON HEIGHTS Rough cut sneak peek from Zipporah Films on Vimeo.

“Yes,” he admits, “this is a bit self promoting as I appear in several scenes!”

The film will receive its official premiere on November 4, 2015 at the Film Forum (209 West Houston Street, New York City) and will run until November 17, 2015. Click here for viewing dates/times and ticket prices.

Here are a couple of links to reviews of the film after it was shown at the Venice Film Festival, the New York Film Festival and other festivals around the world.

The Councilmember will be introducing the film at the Film Forum on Friday, November 13 and Monday, November 16 at 7:50 PM.
