All-New Shows Path to Power Over Poverty

Little Rock, AR   Heifer International—a global development nonprofit focused on ending hunger and poverty—today celebrates the launch of its newly designed website at This fresh and compelling communications tool connects all supporters with clear calls to action and infographics that illustrate the impact Heifer programs have on the struggling farmers Heifer supports around the world.

“I hope visitors to the new site watch our ‘Power over Poverty’ video featured on our home page and get inspired about raising awareness for the issues surrounding hunger and poverty,” said Cindy Jones-Nyland, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Resource Development at Heifer International. “The video shines the spotlight on the individuals and families who benefit from Heifer programs and the powerful developments we instigate within communities. We believe it will take each of us working together to create global change and that will provide supporters with the information they need to spark ideas for ways to get more involved in our mission.”

The goal of the relaunched is to quickly and concisely share Heifer’s goals, programs, challenges and milestones, while allowing viewers to visualize how the right tools and training can lift nutrition and income while building a community.

Supporters are transported to the field with stories, videos and photos conveying the trials and triumphs of families working with purpose and dignity toward self-reliance. When Cows Fly allows donors to upload their own photos and stories about what connects them to the mission.

What You Can Do: Improved navigation tools help supporters find ways to engage that accommodate any person or group’s schedule, budget or special interest.

Heifer’s Gift Catalog: Re-designed to allow year-round gift giving that honors loved ones with life-changing presents of heifers, goats, chicks, tree seedlings, stoves, clean water or women’s empowerment tools.
