Jim Luce on New York City

Jim Luce lives in New York City with his son Mathew and partner John.  Jim moved to NYC in 1983 from Tokyo and was hired as the first Japanese-speaking manager by Daiwa Bank on Wall Street.  Other than the distant Henry Luce side of the family then on Sutton Place, his father’s aunt and uncle lived on Park Avenue until returning from a trip in the 1960’s when they surprised a burglar in their home and were shot to death.  Able to live anywhere in the world, Jim considers his adopted hometown to be the center of the universe.
