Lions Clubs Brought A Christmas Miracle for Hundreds

N ew York, N.Y. On Tuesday the 12th of December 2017, The New York Cosmopolitan Lions Club in conjunction with the New York Global Leaders Lions Club and the Japanese-American Lions Club co-hosted the fourth Community Christmas Celebration at the Public Schools for Global Leaders for over 600 kids in the Lower East Side (China Town).

The kids were screaming in happiness as they saw Santa.

The event started with a brief introduction by the representatives of the New York Cosmopolitan Lions club and was followed by a huge performance by Santa Claus. The kids could easily recognize he was the same Santa who performed at the Macy’s Parade every year.

Santa introduced his assistants Elf, Christmas Tree, and Snowman to the kids and reminded them of the joy of giving and appreciating the little things in this holiday season.

Santa asked the kids about the true meaning of Christmas.

The kids promised to Santa that they will be good boys and girls.

The program was full of laughter and special antics, and Santa made sure it was interactive to keep the kids involved and occupied. Later on, gifts were given out to the kids and Santa took photos with the kids and their teachers.

The celebration concluded with Santa taking photographs with the Lions Clubs that co-sponsored the event including The J. Foundation’s New York Global Leaders Lions Club. Overall, the event was a pleasant learning experience for both the adults and the kids present. It was great to come together as a community and to show kids that they are loved and appreciated by people around them.
