My NYC Chiropractor: Treatment To Help Us Live Our Best Lives

New York, N.Y.  Trying to better the world is hardly pain-free… I know from experience. Luckily, my friend and doctor Curtis McClelland, D.C.   is committed to helping patients like me get out of pain. He creates breakthroughs in physical limitations, allowing patients like me to focus on what’s important. Breakthroughs in physical pain help enable breakthroughs in other areas of life, like mental health, personal development and wellbeing.

His method? Curtis is a licensed chiropractor, but he doesn’t crack backs. Instead, he specializes in full body soft tissue treatment. It’s a special technique called Integrative Diagnosis, and essentially removes the scar tissue left behind on muscles from injuries, poor posture, or sustained stress.

“Think of it like a glue that sticks onto your muscles, which is causing you pain. What I’m able to do is manually remove this scar tissue by pressing into into the muscle while the patient slowly moves or elongates that muscle at the same time. This is the important part – it’s very dynamic as I need my patient to work together with me to treat them effectively” says Dr. McClelland.

He’s one of three chiropractors in New York City who specialize in this technique. Professional athletes, such as players on the New York Jets, Denver Broncos, and St. Louis Rams to "Buffalo Bills" have been getting treated this way for years. But this isn’t something that only affects athletes. It can do in any professional.

“In addition to athletes and highly active individuals, I also see a lot of patients who are sitting at their desk all day, with poor posture and poor ergonomics,” says Dr. McClelland. “This causes strain on the neck, shoulders and lower back, again creating a build-up of scar tissue from continuous tension, resulting in pain. I’m able to assess the pain, determine the cause, treat it effectively and provide proactive recommendations to prevent the pain from coming up again.”

Originally from Canada, Dr. McClelland himself has always been active. “I played a lot of sports growing up and would constantly get injured. I was so appreciative of the doctors that helped rehabilitate me and get me out of pain, and so I want to be able to do that for others,” he says.

From his lifeguarding days to snowboarding to now working out multiple times a week, he values holistic wellness, and it starts with the physical body.

“As I mentioned, I have a diverse client base: from business professionals to crossfit coaches to stay at home moms. It’s hard to close a deal, hit a new Personal Record in your workout or enjoy time with people you care about when you’re suffering from pain or injury. That’s where I can help.”

Here is where it gets interesting: I trust Dr.Curtis McClelland  so much I have made him a Global Adviser to our Foundation .  In addition to being a genius with the human body, he is my reference in case I need to move to Canada after the Inauguration…  Humor aside, as I am staying here to fight, Curtis is just a fine human being who you can trust with your pain.

The mission of the J. Luce Foundation is to support young global leadership and our Global Advisers are experienced professionals working to better humanity who embody the characteristics of honor, intelligence, benevolence, and integrity. This is Curtis in spades.

Dr. Curtis McClelland is located at 40 Park Avenue (between 36th and 37th) in Manhattan. Book a free  assessment today here at or call (929) 251-3830. If you need a breakthrough in physical limitations to focus on your own wellbeing, Curtis is your man. I could not recommend him more highly.
